Yield strength Rp0.2≥ 450 MPa
Elongation A≥ 25%
Hardness≤ 293 HBW

③ Available sizes (standard range)

  • Thickness: 1.0–60 mm
  • Width: ≤ 2000 mm
  • Form: coil / sheet / plate / circle / slit strip on request
  • Surface: 2B · BA · No.1 · No.4 · HL · 8K on request

④ Applicable standards

ASTM A240 · EN 10088-2 · ASTM A923 (corrosion test)

⑤ Typical applications

Seawater piping, desulphurisation equipment, chemical tanks, pulp and paper, offshore platforms, heat exchangers

⑥ Substitution and selection advice

Yield strength more than twice that of 316L and far better chloride stress-corrosion resistance than the 300 series. However welding procedure requirements are stricter and continuous service above 300 °C is not recommended.

Chemical and mechanical data quoted from the public ASTM A240 standard. Available sizes are standard ranges; the contract and technical agreement prevail.
